More
than $25,000 in prizes were given away Thursday, December 20th,
in a couple hours to 13 lucky winners in the "Shop at Home
for the Holidays - Green Country Christmas" promotion in
Bartlesville and Dewey. Local businesses, displaying the "Shop
at the store with the Green Tree on the Door" posters, distributed
green tickets over the last 6 weeks. Prizes ranged in value from
$1,500 to the grand prize of $5,000 in cash.
Major
prizes were drawn from all the green tickets given away by approximately
100 local businesses, on the radio. People listened from their
homes, businesses, cars, or wherever they were shopping to either
KWON 1400 AM, KPGM 1500 AM, KYFM 100.1 FM or KRIG 104.9 FM. They
did not have to be at a specific location. After giving out the
number and describing the prize which takes a couple minutes,
the countdown clock started and the lucky ticket holder had 1
minute 40 seconds to call the stations to claim the major prize.

to them wherever they were to verify the winning ticket. If the
time limit went by without a phone call, or the winning ticket
was not correct, then new numbers were drawn for the major prizes.
Numbers
were not be displayed on a website, however, prize packages were
displayed at www.bartlesvilleradio.com to follow along the progress
of contest.
Final
drawing for the Daily Prizes was Monday, giving the potential
winners three business days to claim their prizes at the radio
station studios, 1200 SE Frank Phillips Boulevard. These daily
prize numbers have been reported on KWON 1400, KYFM 100.1, KRIG
104.9 , listed in the Examiner Enterprise, Sunrise Reporter, on
the Weatherline phone number: 336-2900 and at www.bartlesvilleradio.com.

Daily
Drawings will start November 19 (Monday). Each store's tickets
will be used for their own prize drawing; then, all tickets will
be combined for the major prize drawing on December 20th. Daily
Prizes and numbers will be announced weekdays on each station,
KWON-KYFM-KRIG and in Sunrise Reporter, at www.bartlesvilleradio.com,
on WeatherLine 336-2900, and in the Examiner Enterprise.
Major
Prize Drawings will begin at 9am, Thursday, December 20th simulcast
on all 3 stations. Prizes and numbers will be announced. Listeners
will have 1 minute 40 seconds to call in that they have the winning
ticket. Station personnel will be scattered throughout the listening
area...upon receiving a call, a station official will be dispersed
to that location to verify their ticket number. If no one calls
claiming that number...or the verification proves false, a new
number will be drawn for that prize. Decisions of the station
management are final.
Rule
#1: Everyone who asks must receive One Ticket!
Rule
#2: Suggested giveaway procedure: One additional ticket for each
$10 purchased, maximum of 100 tickets per purchase.
Rule
#3: Tear the matched tickets apart and give them one side, keep
the stub. And, it doesn't matter which stub gets in the box as
we go by #'s...just give them one side and keep one side. Businesses
are asked to use ONLY authorized green tickets for this year's
drawing or we can not verify your business as a winner! They are
imprinted with "Green Country Christmas 2007". If we
run out of green numbers again this year, we can use red too and
know they are from this promotion.
Rule
#4: Owners and employees of participating stores may win prizes/cash
money from other stores or the radio station. You may NOT win
the prize from your place of employment. (The radio station will
keep track of the ticket numbers from each store.)
Birthdays / Anniversaries Contest
We recognize birthdays and anniversaries on KWON, KYFM and KRIG
every morning between 7:15 and 8am. Prizes are awarded daily and
may be picked up at the studios on Frank Phillips Blvd. during
regular business hours. Proper ID may be required. To submit your
birthday or anniversary, you may fax your information to 918-336-6939
or submit the following form. These submissions
are checked weekdays at 9am, so please submit at least 24 hours
prior to the date of the event. If it's a weekend, please
submit by Friday at 9am. Thank you!
