Information Leader
KWON is committed to bringing area listeners the most accurate and complete news
possible. For national and international information, we rely on the worldwide
services of the CBS Radio Network. For state news, it’s the Oklahoma News
Network. For agricultural reports, we affiliate with ONN’s Agri-Net. The
Wall Steet Journal and local stock brokers keep us up on current financial prices.
And, the KWON news staff presents local and regional news information.
Weather Leader
With award-winning weather coverage, KWON suspends regular programming when severe
weather hits. The Washington County Emergency Management weather spotter team
goes into action headquartered out of our studios. Staff spotters, radar coverage
and constant information is aired until the weather clears. KWON received the
Outstanding Radio Spot Weather Award from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters
in 2003.
Sports Leader
KWON is your season ticket for sports, under the direction of Sports
Director, Tom Hauser. You’ll hear Bartlesville Bruins, Oklahoma
Wesleyan University, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Indians baseball, St.
Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Bowl games.
