With falling tax revenues and other budget constraints, the city of Bartlesville staff are always looking for cost-effective measures. Department heads often wear more than one hat, as is the case with Lisa Beeman. She is the interim Parks and Recreation Director but her first job is Community Development Director. Beeman is working to get more use out of a number of city facilities, including Doenges Stadium, which is now shared with the BPSD.

Earlier this year, the YMCA took over the management of the city pools and Beeman said that agreement has given the city some significant cost savings.
