Unemployment Rates Mixed

A majority of the state's counties saw increases in their unemployment rates for August of 2015.  According to the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, 45 of Oklahoma's 77 counties saw increases while 26 counties had decreases and six counties remained the same.

Nowata County's unemployment rate for August stands at 5.9 percent, down from 6.2 percent in July.  Osage County's unemployment rate was steady at 5.3 percent while Washington County's unemployment rate for August remained the same at 4.3 percent.
