A bi-partisan effort to “Cut Red Tape” is moving forward in the U.S. Senate. Senator James Lankford, along with North Dakota Democratic Senator Heidi Heitkamp, began their efforts by asking American families how federal regulations impact their lives. Lankford said three bills made it out of the Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs and Federal Management.

The bills will next move to the Senate for debate. Lankford said that 60 votes will be needed in the Senate to move the bills forward.
