Bartlesville police responded to an early morning report of a fight and shooting incident in the 1500 block of Southwest Colorado.  Captain Jay Hastings reports that police were told upon arrival that a 19 year-old man had been shot by a compound bow and he had been taken to Jane Phillips Medical Center by private vehicle. 

Hastings says police learned that several people went to the home to fight and when they confronted the home owner, they came out of the home with a bow.  Hastings says someone apparently confronted the home owner and they shot an arrow at the man who had been running toward the porch.

Police conducted interviews with the persons involved Monday morning.  The completed incident report will go the district attorney.  That office will determine whether or not to file charges.

The shooting victim was transferred to a hospital in Tulsa to remove the arrow.
