Rubatt Preliminary Hearing Set

A Bartlesville man who is accused of abusing two girls and trying to attack Bartlesville Firefighters with a machete has a preliminary hearing date scheduled for December 10th.  George Anthony Rubatt is charged with three counts of child neglect, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and possession of methamphetamine.  Bartlesville police were called on a domestic disturbance near a conveience store in the 900 block of SW Frank Phillips Blvd.

According to a court affidavit, the girls' mother told the police that she left her children in care of Rubatt so she can go to Pawhuska.  Reportedly, the mother told officers that Rubatt had been using meth for a long time.

Rubatt remains in jail on a $250,000 bond.
