After eight days and the use of many bottles of water, the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality has lifted the boil water order in Barnsdall.  Mayor Brock Moore issued the good news just after noon on Saturday.  The National Guard was brought in by Osage County Emergency Management Director Jerry Roberts last Saturday.  The Central Baptist Church in Owasso delivered 17,000 bottles of water to the citizens of Barnsdall on Thursday evening.

Brock Moore said the water situation has been his first priority since becoming mayor.

Water samples were submitted to the DEQ every day since the order was issued.  Water standards had to meet requirements for three days in a row before the order could be lifted.
