Hall Waives Preliminary Hearing

A Coffeyville, Kansas man who is accused of leading officers on a high speed chase back in January has waived preliminary hearing as is bound over for formal arraignment, scheduled for May 4th.  Joseph Dillon Hall is charged with eluding a police officer, falsely personate to create liability, and two counts of running through a road block.  A deputy from the Washington County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 75 near County Road 2900 for a Ford Taurus with a Kansas license plate. 

According to a court affidavit, the suspect didn't have his license, but identified himself as "Jesse Ray Johnson" with a birthdate of December 18th, 1988.  While checking the suspect's information, reportedly Hall left the scene and led officers in a high speed chase through Bartlesville, Dewey, and ended on a county road near Copan.  The affidavit states that speeds went from 70 to 110 miles per hour.  During the chase, the suspect ran through two road blocks.  Hall told the authorities that he gave a false name because he thought he had active warrants.

Bond remains at $250,000.
