The owners of KWON-KYFM-KRIG-KPGM radio made it official and closed the deal to  purchase a group of radio stations in Coffeyville.  Kevin, Dorea, Kaleb, and Taylor Potter purchased KGGF, KGGF-FM, KUSN, and KQQF from Radio Results Group in Coffeyville.

Kevin Potter says the family has historically been involved in the communities they operate in and there is no reason to believe that they will not be active in Southeast Kansas. KGGF has been on the air since 1927 and covers a four-state area.

Kaleb Potter commented that KGGF and its associated stations have served the listeners of Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma for a long time.  Listeners can expect the changes that come with new ownership will build on that heritage.  Potter says the family is only the fourth owner in the history of KGGF.

Potter says plans are for John Leonard to continue as the station manager -- along with Lance Alred continuing in his position.

Programming will emphasize local news and community events.  Broadcast veteran, Debra Woodall is news director for the stations.  She has worked news in both the Wichita and Tulsa broadcast markets and worked in both television and radio news.

The Kansas stations include News Talk 690, KGGF; Classic Hits 104.1, KGGF-FM; Country 93.3, KUSN; and Adult Contemporary 98.9, KQQF. Listeners hear Field-Kinley high school sports along with Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, Kansas State Wildcats, Coffeyville Community College, and the Red Ravens.
