Does your youngster have what it takes to be Little Miss or Little Mr. Freedom Fest this year?  Event organizers are registering 5 to 8 year-olds for the competition now through Monday, May 16th. 

Festival Committee Chair, Sharon Hurst says they’re excited bring back the popular event.  You will get your first look at the field when they are introduced at the HOT Street Party the evening of June 10th. 

Freedom Fest royalty will be chosen through popular election through your donations. The boy and girl receiving the most donations will win a prize package that includes $100 and riding at the head of the parade. The contest is free and open to the first 30 boys and 30 girls who register.

You will then have the opportunity to vote for your favorite.  Ballot boxes with the candidates’ names and photos, courtesy of Mark Blumer Photography, will be located at participating downtown merchants. Those locations will be determined through a random drawing. Voting will take place June 10 through July 1. All proceeds from the contest will support Bartlesville Fourth of July Freedom Fest and Downtown Kiwanis youth scholarships. 

Registration is open May 2 through May 16. Register online at
www.bartlesvillefreedomfest.org or pick up a registration form at Sooner Jr. Miniature Golf.  Mail your printed registrations to: Kiwanis Club, 414 SE Washington Blvd, PMB 199, Bartlesville, OK 74006 and postmarked no later than May 16.

Eligible youngsters must be 5 to 8 year sold on July 4, 2016.
