First District Oklahoma Congressman Jim Bridenstine will spend the weekend campaigning for re-election in his district.  The congressman will return on Thursday to a site that he found to be very friendly when he originally ran for office – Bartlesville’s Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

The Facebook page for Bridenstine’s re-election campaign invites you to join Congressman Bridenstine for some food and campaign fun at OKWU. The post says the event is a great opportunity to pick up your yard signs, bumper stickers, and t-shirts as Bridenstine kicks-off campaign season in Bartlesville.

The campaign rally starts at 5 o’clock.
 

Bridenstine will also visit the Bixby Blues Festival on Friday, plus a Wagoner County campaign event and Owasso’s Trail Days on Saturday.
 

Bridenstine faces two opponents in the Republican primary.  The winner will face an independent candidate in November.
