A tip from the public lead to a police investigation and a 5-hour stand-off situation Thursday night.  Police Captain Jay Hastings says investigators received information about 4 o’clock Thursday afternoon that the third suspect in an armed robbery, James T. Black was at a home in the 1600 block of SE Elm Street.

Police asked area residents to go inside their house.  It was a dangerous situation.  After a several hour stand-off, police were able to take Black into custody.

The arrest was made just before 9 o’clock.
