370 Bartlesville High School students donned caps and gowns Friday night and graduated as the Class of 2016.  School officials had an eye to the weather and started commencement about 15 minutes early and by the time the graduates turned their tassels there were reports of thunderstorms in central Osage County.

Student Body President, Brent Cunningham challenged his classmates to leave their Bruin cave and strive for success.

Cunningham preserved the moment by pulling out a selfie-stick and took a picture, saying it would be on Instagram.

KWON aired the event live.  The broadcast was presented by Wasmiller Insurance, Oklahoma Wesleyan University Adult Studies, Oakley Chevrolet, Ben Rainey Insurance, Simple Simon's Pizza, and Arvest Bank.

We have a recording of the commencement.
