Washington County Associate District Judge Russell Vaclaw held a probable cause hearing Friday afternoon for 45-year old Justin Grant Sheppard of Bartlesville, who was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, and reckless driving.  Bartlesville police were called to a home in the 4100 block of Brookline where people were arguing.

According to a court affidavit, officers found tire tracks through the front yard and damage to a vehicle.  A man told the police that he woke up Sheppard to get a ride to work.  Reportedly, Sheppard got angry at the man and accused him of using most of the gas in the suspect's vehicle.  The affidavit states that Sheppard got a chain saw from the victim's garage and threaten to use the item as a weapon.  Sheppard got into his car and tried to run over the victim.  Instead, the suspect hit a neighbor's vehicle.  Sheppard told the police that he was attacked by the victim.  Officer's didn't see any injuries on Sheppard's body.

Sheppard's next court date is Monday when charges are expected to be filed.  Bond was set at $50,000.
