Shimko First Degree Murder Charge

A Dewey man who was arrested last week in connection with his 64-year old grandmother's death, made his first court appearance Monday afternoon on the arraignment docket. Donald Wayne Shimko is charged with first degree murder.
According to a court docket, Dewey police received a call from Shimko around 4:30 in the morning on July 20th saying that he found his grandmother, Altiva Shimko, dead. Officers believe that Shimko used a baseball bat to strike his grandmother's head.
Shimko's next court date is August 19th. Bond was set at $500,000.
