The Bartlesville Doenges Ford Indians started the 2016 American Legion State Baseball Tournament at Byng Friday morning on a rocky start and never recovered.  The Indians lost 10-6 to the Ada A's.

Bartlesville walked the first three Ada batters in the top of the first inning that resulted in giving up five runs.  The A's would take a 7-0 lead into the bottom of the second when the Indians finally got on the scoreboard, scoring a run in the bottom of the second and three runs in the bottom of the third, thanks to a two-run homerun by Logan McNeil, which was his first homerun of the season.  The Indians never had the lead.  Josiah Gott pitched a third of an inning and dropped to 3-2 overall this season.  Gott gave up five runs on a hit and walked four.  Sam Walker and Zac Boyes each went 2 for 4 with a RBI.  Brady Sewell finished the day going 2 for 3 at the plate.  Chase Fiddler hit a double while McNeil, Nolan Schaper, Dustin Weisenbach, Braden Beasley, and Trevor Doyle each got a hit.

The loss drops Bartlesville to 27-15 overall and will play Three Rivers Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in an elimination game at Byng.  You can hear Saturday morning's game on Sports Talk 1500 AM KPGM and 99.1 FM.    If the Indians win, they would play Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock.
