August 11, 2016 is approaching and Phillips 66 is promoting national 8-1-1 day. The day is a reference to the number you need to call, 8-1-1, no less than two days before digging into the ground. By calling the number, you can identify the approximate location of underground utility lines.

According to Phillips 66, failure to call before digging has resulted in more than 60,000 contacts with utility lines per year.
