Chevron-Phillips Chemical Company employees arranged to donate copies of the book Women in Science: 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed the World to the Bartlesville Public School District's secondary science and STEM  teachers, along with a copy for each of the school site libraries.
Pascale Atallah, a Ph.D. polymer scientist, wrote, "Donating these books is just a small gesture to recognize the work that has been done by these women scientists who paved the road for many of us and many more to come. We hope these books will bring awareness and knowledge to the students about all of the various STEM fields available to them and spark their interest in pursuing a STEM major.”

Helping Dr. Atallah present the books were other CPChem employees: blow molding supervisor Jay Chaffin, catalyst group technician Renee Gagan, administrative assistant Jennifer Jackson, and materials evaluation lab technicians Nancy Majors and Cory Pullins. The group was invited to present the books at the October 2016 department meeting of the district's secondary science and STEM teachers.
