Bartlesville City Manager, Ed Gordon has issued a statement regarding Wednesday night's shooting incident.  Gordon says the health, safety and well-being of our citizens and our police officers are paramount to the City of Bartlesville and the Bartlesville Police Department. Today our hearts and prayers are with our officers and the citizens of our city.

Gordon goes on to says the mission of the Bartlesville Police Department is to protect and serve, and they do this each day as they go about their duties, working in concert with our citizens to ensure a safe community. The citizens of Bartlesville are the eyes and ears of our community, and we are proud of the trust and support they have shown to the men and women who are sworn to protect them.

The incident has been turned over to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, which is in accordance with the policy of the City of Bartlesville.

A man is dead as a result of the domestic violence incident and the resulting police action.
