Six people were sent to the hospital Thursday night after they were injured in an accident in the northbound lanes of U. S. 75 at Monday's Truck Stop near county road 2900.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a truck driven by 51 year-old Edward Fletcher of Sperry was trying to turn southbound from the truck stop just after 9 o'clock when a car driven by 35 year-old Alfred Pruitt of Bartlesville hit the truck on the driver's side.  Pruitt's vehicle ended up in the center median and the Fletcher truck stopped on the inside northbound lane of 75.

Bartlesville Ambulance Service transported Fletcher and his passenger, 19 year-old Lacy Walker of Broken Arrow to Tulsa's St. Francis Hospital.  Fletcher was admitted in stable condition with head and leg injuries.   Walker was admitted in stable condition with head and trunk injuries.  Pruitt was also transported to St. Francis Hospital where he was treated and released.  A 4 year-old and two 8 year-old passengers in Pruitt's vehicle were also admitted in stable condition to St. Francis.

The report indicates that Fletcher was apparently intoxicated at the time of the incident.  The report shows failure to yield from the private drive as a cause of the collision.
