Fog and Cattle Lead to Crash
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says fog and cattle on the highway led to a three vehicle injury crash just south of Bartlesville early Friday. The crash at 3:36 in the morning shut down the southbound lanes of U. S. 75 near County Road 2400 for two hours while crews cleaned up the wreckage.
According to Trooper Seth Hudson, a southbound car clipped a cow standing in the roadway. Right after that, a southbound Hummer slammed into the same cow. Then, the driver of a southbound PT Cruiser struck another cow before hitting the Hummer, knocking it on its side.
The OHP reports three people from two of the vehicles -- a PT Cruiser and a Hummer -- were taken to Jane Phillips Medical Center.
Troopers said there was dense fog in the area at the time of the crash.
