Fugitive apprehension agents with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections Office of the Inspector General arrested Joshua Ward on Friday after an anonymous tip led to his location.

In addition to the tip, the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office provided intelligence that helped track down Ward. He was apprehended without incident at a bus stop at 3500 S. Sheridan.

Ward’s apprehension came only two days after he was placed on the DOC’s Top 15 Fugitive list. He remains in the Tulsa County Jail and will face additional charges.

Ward left the Tulsa Transitional Center halfway house for a job search on Nov. 22 and never returned to the facility. He was placed on the Top 15 Fugitive list for his history of violence and his connections to the Irish Mob.

Corrections Director Joe M. Allbaugh commended the joint effort to apprehend a Top 15 Fugitive.

Allbaugh says “Law enforcement could not have been successful without the help of a brave citizen, who submitted a tip. We are thankful to this individual, who took it upon themselves to help bring this dangerous criminal back into custody.”
