Two Hospitalized, One Dead in Tuesday Accident

One person is dead and two are in the hospital after a Tuesday afternoon accident 6 miles west of Vera in Washington County.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a Chevy Silverado driven by 27 year-old Elvin Medina of Tulsa was southbound on State Highway 11 at about 4:15 Tuesday afternoon and was passing a car. He lost control and hit a northbound car in the driver's side door.  Medina's vehicle turned over at least one have time and came to rest on its top.
 
Skiatook EMS took Medina to St. John Hospital in Tulsa where he was admitted in stable condition with head, arm, leg, and internal injuries.  It took the Skiatook Fire Department 2 hours 25 minutes to extricate the driver of the second vehicle.  He died at the scene as a result of massive injuries sustained in the collision. His remains were taken to the medical examiner's office in Tulsa.  A passenger in the car, 43 year-old Bradley Stout of Tulsa was also pinned in the car for an hour and 27 minutes.  Life Flight Air-Ambulance took him to St. John in Tulsa where he was admitted in critical condition with head injuries.
