Dewey Drops District Game To Verdigris
Max Gross
Up in Dewey, the Bulldoggers may have seen their playoff hopes slip away, as Verdigris beat Dewey for its first district win last night. Cardinals topped the Doggers 38-to-13. The game was tied at seven early, and it was Faylon Kight who once again scored the ball for Dewey.
But it would be all Verdigris from that point on. The Cardinals scored 31 unanswered to hand Dewey the district loss. Passing offense continued to be a struggle for Dewey as Blake Timmons and Chase Revard combined for just six completions on 23 attempts for 101 yards.
The Bulldoggers drop to four-and-four on the season. Dewey is next in action a week from today at Claremore Sequoyah.
