Bartlesville Cross Country Heads to State

Both the Bartlesville High cross country teams will have a chance to repeat as state champions on Saturday. 

The Lady Bruins and Bruins won the East-Side 6A Regional in Broken Arrow. Both Bartlesville teams also had the individual champion. On the girl’s side it was Rilee Rigdon who took home another crown. Rigdon won by a full 22 seconds with a time of 18:36. Bartlesville had two other girl’s in the top 10 in Greta Olsen and Jillian Skalicky.

On the guy’s side, Bruin James Martinez won the whole thing by six-seconds. BHS had three other runners in the top 10, in Nathan Lauritsen, Reese Hammon, and Spencer Hales.

The boy’s won by 19 points while the girl’s won by 24.

State for 6A cross country is coming up on Saturday at Edmond Sante Fe High School.
