A protest against police brutality in Oklahoma called for new leadership in the Tulsa Police Department.

The Tulsa World reports Aware Tulsa hosted the event on Sunday at the Tulsa County Courthouse. About 50 people gathered to hear from speakers including Rev. Joey Crutcher, whose son, Terrence, was fatally shot by former Tulsa Officer Betty Shelby.

Crutcher said the culture in Tulsa needs to change.  He also called for the resignation of Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan.

Democratic state Rep. Regina Goodwin says people shouldn't be afraid to stand up for what's right.
