Hayman Wins Barnsdall Mayoral Election

With a 54 to 42 percent majority Russell Hayman will become Barnsdall's next Mayor. Hayman has been serving as Interim Mayor on Barnsdall since the resignation of Brock Moore earlier this year. Hayman won the Tuesday election with 54.19 percent of the vote over his two opponents JD Cole, 42.73 percent, and Clark Todd, with 3 percent of the total 227 votes. The Barnsdall Mayoral election was for the unexpired term of Brock Moore's elected term which began in April 2015. The next Mayoral race will be in 2019.

 

Additionally, Osage County voters elected Trent Renfro as Country Corner Fire Department Board Member for Seat 5 with 82 percent of the vote over his opponent Jim Massey, and approved all seven propositions for the City of Tulsa, and five bond proposals for Sand Springs.
