A midseason coaching change has been made at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Grace Hadley was named the new head coach of the women’s basketball team on Friday afternoon.

The announcement comes as former head coach Mark Molder announced his resignation. Molder had taken a personal leave of absence midway through the 2018-19 season. Hadley served as an assistant on Molder’s staff since the start of 2017. She served as the interim head coach during Molder’s leave but is labeled as the full-time head coach. OKWU athletic director Kirk Kelley says Hadley is a great fit.

Hadley’s playing career took her to Southwestern Kansas College and Southwestern Christian College.

Molder served in several roles at OKWU including player, assistant coach, men’s head coach, athletic director and two separate stints as women’s head coach.

The Lady Eagles are 13-7 on the season and host Friends University on Saturday as a part of a Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader.
