Bartlesville Health and Rehab Community (BHRC) hosted a blood drive on Tuesday.

Sandra Brown, BHRC's Administrator, said they wanted to bring the American Red Cross Blood Mobile to their facility to show their appreciation to the community that was very supportive during the COVID-19 pandemic. She said she was thankful for everyone that came out and donated blood and for those who made the event possible.

During the blood drive, the American Red Cross also tested people for COVID-19 antibodies. Brown said they wanted to give back and help anyone that they can in their time of need.

BHRC's Marketing Director Brett Harsh said they got the idea for the blood drive in July. He said they filled approximately 29 slots.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the American Red Cross Blood Mobile could only take 29 donations. Harsh said the slots filled up quick. Thanks to the turnout. Harsh said they got another offer from the American Red Cross to hold another blood drive at BHRC in early Decemeber if they would like.
