The Dewey Lady Bulldoggers softball team finds itself in prime position heading into the postseason. The Lady Doggers open up regional play on Thursday with a home contest against Antlers at noon. Dewey cruised through the regular season with a 24-3 record.

The Lady Doggers lost just one regular off last year’s squad that went to the 3A state tournament. Head coach Nicole Keck thinks this group is capable of achieving more this year.

After back-to-back slip ups in mid-September Dewey rebounded to win six straight contests. That streak included winning the illustrious Oklahoma Union tournament. If Dewey beats Antlers at noon it will play again at 6 p.m. for a spot in the regional finals.
