Bartlesville Man Arrested For Threats To Kill

A Bartlesville man is in custody after he allegedly threaten to kill a man.  35-year old Eric James Pitner is charged with threaten to perform an act of violence and carrying a firearm while under the influence.  According to a court affidavit,  Bartlesville police were called to the 1700 block of SE East Drive where they saw the suspect carrying a gun and was intoxicated.  Officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Pitner.  A man told the authorities that he was approached by Pitner and threaten to kill him.  Reportedly, witnesses could hear Pitner making threatening remarks to the victim and saw the suspect urinating in public.  Court records indicate that Pitner is on probation in Rogers County.  Pitner's next court date is November 10th.  Bond was set at $50,000.
