Council Members to Consider Incentives
Several items concerning the Bartlesville Development Corporation are on tap for Monday night's Bartlesville City Council meeting. According to the agenda, the council will take action on a recommendation from the BDC to allocate $200,000 from the Economic Development Fund in a form of a forgivable loan as a job-creation incentive for Superior Companies. The incentive will be given in exchange for the company's committment to hire 20 additional employees with proceeds to be used for improvement of its downtown manufacturing facility.
Council members take action on a recommendation from the BDC to allocate $20,000 from the Economic Development Fund in the form of a forgivable loan for Dilbeck Manufacturing's committment to relocate from Tulsa to Bartlesville. The council also plans vote on a recommendation from the BDC to allocate $20,000 from the Economic Development Fund as partial reimbursement of Siemens' cash in-kind sponsorship of Tri-County Technology Center's automated manufacturing/engineering program. Disbursements will be made contingent on Siemens' hiring graduates of the program over a five-year term at a rate of $4,000 a job, up to a maximum of five jobs.
Monday night's Bartlesville City Council meeting is scheduled for 7 o'clock at City Hall's Council Chambers Room.
