BPSD Receives Flu Vaccines
Thanks to a donation from Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville Public School staff should have less sick days this year. Jane Phillips Medical Center last week donated enough vaccinations to provide about 350 flu vaccinations at no cost to all interested BPSD employees. Jane Phillips Pharmacy Manager Erin Clairborn said the main reason for the donation is remembering how hard teachers were hit last year with the flu and the difficulty in finding adequate substitute teachers. In addition, the Washington County Health Department provided needles and containers for the used needles so the vaccinations could be administered. While several BPSD sites have already administered vaccinations, district wide vaccinations are expected to be completed by November 7.
