Edwards Arrested On Several Violations
Washington County District Judge Curtis DeLapp held a probable cause hearing for 22-year old Tanner Christian Edwards, who was arrested for stolen property and drug violations. Bartlesville police were called to investigate a possible vehicle burglary in the 100 block of South Cass. According to a court affidavit, a young girl told the police that a man was stealing items from her Dad's truck and left the scene. Officers went to the intersection of Frank Phillips and Bucy and saw four men including Edwards arguing. The police noticed Tanner had a pocket knife. Officers searched Edwards and found a flashlight, a bag of meth, and a wrapper with white pills.
While in custody, officers noticed Edwards had a set of keys. Edwards claimed he found the keys at an ally. Another affidavit says that Bartlesville police investigated another vehicle burglary case in the 1600 block of West Hensley. A man came home from the casino and left his keys in his vehicle. A short time later, he noticed his stereo was pulled from the dash and was lying on the console. The victim discovered his keys were missing. Edwards next court date is Thursday afternoon when charges are expected to be filed. Bond was set at $30,000.
