A $100,000 bond has been set for a Bartlesville man who allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and abusing a 3-year old child. 41-year old Joshua Gordan Bowman is charged with child abuse by injury, assault with a dangerous weapon, and domestic assault and battery by strangulation. According to a court document, Bowman is accused of hitting a 3-year old child with a wooden spoon numerous times causing the child to bruise. The victim told the authorities that Bowman assaulted her with a knife and hammer and threatened to cut her throat and bash her head in. The document claims that Bowman grabbed his girlfriend's throat restricting her ability to breathe and breaking the woman's necklace from her neck. Bowman has a case pending in Washington County for domestic assault and battery by strangulation. The case took place in June when Bowman is accused of choking the same woman. He was free on a $2,000 bond. That case is set for preliminary hearing on December 12th. Bowman's next court date for the new case is November 15th.
