A probable cause hearing took place Friday afternoon for 39-year old Shawn Leroy Hooker of Bartlesville, who has been arrested for domestic abuse by strangulation and a violation of a protective order.  Bartlesville police were called to investigate a possible stabbing at an apartment located in the 100 block of West 18th.  According to a court affidavit, Hooker's wife told the police that the suspect entered her apartment without permission and tried to persuade her to drop the protective order against him.  Reportedly, the woman tried to call the police, but Hooker took her phone and threw it to the ground.  Later, Hooker pushed his wife and grabbed her throat with his hands.  During the altercation, the woman grabbed a knife and stabbed Hooker in attempt to get him off of her.  Once Hooker was stabbed, he left the scene.  Officers saw a minor wound on Hooker and he refused treatment.  The victim provided a copy of the protective order to the authorities.  Hooker is due back in Washington County District Court on February 24th when charges are expected to be filed.  Bond was set at $15,000.
