Nowata County Accident Injures Passenger

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to an accident Thursday night 4 miles north of Lenapah in Nowata County.  According to the accident report, 42 year-old Tracy Evans failed to yield to a stop sign.  His truck was hit in the passenger door by a westbound GMC Yukon driven by 31 year-old Christian Escobedo of Dewey.  Neither Escobedo nor the the four passengers in her vehicle were injured.  Evans refused treatment at the scene, but his passenger, a 14 year-old from Hoyt, Kansas was flown by air ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa where she was admitted in fair condition with head and internal injuries.
