Unemployment Rates Increase

The state's unemployment rates are up in many Oklahoma counties. According to the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, unemployment rates increased in 59 of 77 counties, including Washington, Osage, and Nowata counties.
Nowata County's unemployment rate for April is at 5.3 percent, up from 4.7 percent. Osage County's unemployment rate for April stands at 4.7 percent, up from 4.5 percent in March while Washington County's unemployment rate increased in April to 3.7 percent, compared to 3.6 percent in March of 2015.
