State Senator Rob Standridge has been chosen to represent Republicans in the Oklahoma Senate at The Assembly of State Legislature's meeting in Washington, D.C.

Senate President Pro Tem Brian Bingman appointed Standridge to attend the meeting.

The Assembly of State Legislatures is a bipartisan group of state legislators from across the country

The meeting is expected to focus on Article Five of the U.S. Constitution, which allows states to call for a Convention of States to propose constitutional amendments under certain circumstances. It requires that two-thirds, or 34, of the states call for a Convention of States to propose amendments.
