Crime Stoppers needs your help to solve a series of vehicle break-ins in Nowata where firearms, cash, and other items of value were taken.  According to police officer “Chip” Mitchell, some time over the last couple of weeks someone broke into vehicles and ransacked the interior looking in glove compartments and in upholstery, taking items from them.  Items stolen include a 9 millimeter Taurus 111 pistol, with a serial number starting with TFW, a laptop computer, a purse, prescription medication containing oxycodone, $1400 in cash, and an M&P Shields 40 millimeter pistol.  All of the break-ins reportedly occurred between 10 at night and 4 the next morning.

Crime doesn’t pay but Crime Stoppers does.  Crime Stoppers will pay a confidential cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for these break-ins and thefts.  If you have information about the thefts or any other crime in Nowata or Washington Counties, call Crime Stoppers at 918-336-CLUE or 1-800-222-TIPS.  You can also submit a tip by way off the Crime Stoppers web site at www.bcrimestoppers.com.  You can also use the Crime Stoppers smart phone app.  Just download the TIP SUBMIT app and select Crime Stoppers of Washington County submit your information.

All tips are anonymous.  There is no caller-ID attached to the phone numbers and identifying information is stripped off of the web site so no one can identify who has provided the information.   Crime Stoppers doesn’t want your name, just your information.
