Adair Gets New Preliminary Hearing Date

A Bartlesville man who is accused of stabbing two people to death has a new preliminary date.  35-year old Steven Lee Adair is charged with two counts of first degree murder.  Originally, Adair's preliminary hearing was scheduled for December 16th, but now is scheduled for January 12th, 2015.  According to a court affidavit, when officers arrived they found 23-year old Charles Edward Lee dead, lying in the front yard.  The authorities found Adair's wife, 41-year old Crystal Sue Adair, who had several stab wounds and later died.  A 15-year old girl was also stabbed during the incident.  She was able to escape and call the police.  Adair also faces kidnapping, assault and battery with a deadly weapon, and attempted first degree arson.  Adair remains in jail on a $1 million dollar bond.
