Bartlesville Public Schools, in conjunction with East Bartlesville Christian Church provides coats to needy students. Bartlesville schools collected coats for a month, accepting donations of new and used coats at locations across the city. In all, more than one hundred coats were collected, including 55 brand new coats. In a KWON Community Connection, Christ Tanea, Bartlesville Public Schools Community Relations Coordinator, talked about the need for coats.

Over the next few weeks the coats will be cleaned by Archer's Cleaners then distributed to students throughout the Bartlesville School District. BPSD Homeless Coordinator Sarah Rowe, who spearheaded the effort would like to thank all those who donated coats to the program. This is the third year that the BPSD has collected coats for needy students.
