Osage Commissioners Approve Rezoning

The Osage County Commissioners met this morning in their regular weekly scheduled meeting. The following bids were awarded: Paper and cleaning products will be provided by U.S. Foods and trash bags by American Poly Company. Road Oil Services were awarded to Ergon and Coastal. Oil, Lube and Antifreeze will be provided by Cross Oil and Quality Petroleum.  Asphalt Road Resurfacing and State Spec Asphalt will be awarded to all low bids subject to their availability and transportation costs. Kay Kelly of Emergency 911, Jake Bruno with the Planning and Zoning Board and Jerry Roberts of Emergency Management provided quarterly reports regarding their respective departments.  Bruce Cass of the Osage Nation was present and requested approval of property owned by the Nation to be rezoned from agricultural to multi-family for the propose of building homes providing in-patient and domestic abuse services.  The Commissioners unanimously approved the rezoning.  Jill Jones of the Osage Nation requested approval to rezone 5.37 acres owned by the Osage Nation from agricultural to light industry.  This request for rezoning was also approved.  In other action a proposal for repairs and materials to a critically fractured bridge over the Caney River in District 1 was approved to Logos Construction in an amount totaling over $51,000. In final business the Commissioners approved the sale of scrap metal from District 1 to Fraley’s, the highest bidder at $180 per ton.

The Osage County Commissioners will meet next Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Osage County Courthouse in Pawhuska.
