The Washington County court docket has a busy week ahead with two jury trials scheduled. District Attorney 1st Assistant Jared Sigler is prosecuting the case of Darrell Wade Whitson of Dewey, in front of Judge Curtis DeLapp. The charge is Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, which in this instance is a vehicle. The alleged victim is an off-duty law enforcement officer.

The case being heard in front of Judge Russell Vaclaw involves a charge of Lewd Molestation against a minor. The defendant is Billy Ray O'Dell, of Bartlesville. Court affidavits show that a girl under the age of 13 reported to her parents that the suspect threatened her with a gun and touched her inappropriately. The prosecution is led by Assistant District Attorney Sue Nigh.

Jury selection in both of these cases is expected to finish Monday afternoon with the trials beginning on Tuesday.
