Retired Osage County Associate District Judge Dies

A lifelong Pawhuska resident, practicing attorney and retired Associate District Judge of Osage County, William H. “Bill” Mattingly, died on Wednesday, April 15th at the age of 84. Mattingly was affected by the legal profession his entire life as he was the son of the late Judge E.H. Mattingly and Opel Lee Mattingly. He graduated from the Oklahoma University College of Law in 1958 after two years of active duty in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mattingly law practice began in Hominy, became Assistant County Attorney and County Attorney for Osage County, followed by more4 years of public service. He received a Certificate of Recognition from the Oklahoma Bar Association in 2008 for more than 50 years in the Association.

 

The funeral service takes place on Monday, April 20th at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Pawhuska at 10 A.M. Under the direction of McCartney's Johnson Funeral Home of Pawhuska.
