Three Kansas men who are accused of drug possession in a routine traffic stop face preliminary hearing scheduled for June 16th.  58-year old Kenneth Dyarl Baker, Jr. of Caney, 31-year old Roberto Luis Herrera of Independence, and 32-year old Kenneth Joseph Martin are charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.  Dewey police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 16th and Osage for a cracked windshield.

According to a court affidavit, Martin, who was the driver, couldn't provide his drivers license.  Officers searched Martin and found a digital scale.  Reportedly, the police searched the vehicle and found a bag of potato chips, which contained a bag of meth.  Officers also discovered a digital scale, a syringe, and $620 in cash.

All three men remain in jail on $250,000 each.
