The atmosphere at the Osage County Courthouse was quiet and somber Monday morning as all cases on the scheduled docket had been postponed in order for courthouse employees to attend the funeral of retired Osage County Judge the Honorable William H. Mattingly, who passed last Wednesday, April 15, at the age of 84.

The Board of Osage County Commissioners met briefly at 10 am for the regularly scheduled meeting.

During last week's session the Commissioners entered into executive session to interview engineering firms for design services associated with a bridging project. This week the commissioners announced that they had selected Kellogg Engineering after tallying the results of the interviews.

Additionally on the agenda, the Commissioners approved the sale of a tax property in Hominy to Michael and Linda White. The Commissioners also heard from Kim Vincent from the Osage County Nutrition Program who discussed the program's quarterly report.

The next scheduled meeting of the Board of County Commissioners will be next Monday, April 27.
