An arrest has been made by the Rogers County Sheriff's Office in the death of a man found dead in the trunk of his car in the Caney River earlier this month. Roman Goana Medrano was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with the death of Rafael Hernandez-Torres. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol received a call about a car in the Caney River off Highway 169 near Collinsville on May 1^st. When the car was pulled from the river, Torres' body was found in the trunk, dead from a gunshot wound. Investigators have reportedly put in a lot of hours and interviewed many people to make the arrest. Medrano is charged with first degree murder.
