Heavy Rains Cause Flooding

Heavy Rains Saturday evening caused flash floods in low areas around Bartlesville.  Most of the water has drained, and statewide reports of high lake levels have caused concern with the Caney River.  As of Sunday morning, the Caney River at Bartlesville is at 8ft.  Flood stage is around 13 feet.  Both Hulah Lake and Copan lake which feed into the Caney River have room available in their flood pools.  To check current lake and river levels, click the links below.

The Caney River at Ramona has caused the National Weather Service to issue a River Flood Warning for the Caney River at Ramona through Monday night.  Sunday afternoon, the Caney river at Ramona is expected to crest around 28 feet.  Flood stage is 26 feet and minor farmland flooding and some rural roads will be impassible.

The Verdigris River at Coffeyville is expected to enter minor flood stage before Monday morning.  Water is expected to crest at about 4 feet above flood stage. Stay tuned to Bartlesville Radio throughout the Memorial Day weekend for weather updates.
